Libra Season
/The season of the scales enters on Wednesday September 22 2021 with the potent portal of the Fall Equinox in the northern hemisphere and Spring Equinox in the Southern.
We kick off Libra Season with a ritual of balance that opens the door to a season of change. I write these words as I gaze down upon the clouds of my airplane window. Thinking about how, up here, all is the same. There are no seasons. There is no change. There is just the constant presence of the sun, moon and stars. The earth sitting before me and I remember, that above all- we are all the same. Above all- we are all having the same human experience; together.
But from the ground floor we experience it, each in our own unique way. Those who live on my side of the world, are beginning their descent into the darker seasons. Those on the other side of the worlds are beginning their walk into the light.
So; can we honor the great human experiment, while also honoring our own personal journeys through it?
Can we understand our own unique place in the world, while also understanding that we are connected to the greater whole?
The theme for Libra Season is Interdependence over Codependence.
When we learn that we each have our own individual role to play in this lifetime, AND our personal experience effects the greater whole of humanity. When we learn that, though we each have our own unique mission, our purpose creates a ripple that influences the missions of all those who cross our paths in this lifetime.
Interdependence is the art of knowing yourself, owning yourself, and standing on your own two feet; as an act of service to the other. Being able to hold your own and take care of yourself, as a way to be a force of support for those around you. Cherishing your own body’s wisdom and self sovereignty, while also understanding that we are also an “everybody” and our choices will inevitably affect the collective whole.
Libra season is known to be flirty, romantic, and full of love as guided by its ruling planet Venus. But as the world is changing and our definition of connection is rapidly evolving: we may need to honor Libra in a whole new way.
Yes we are learning about relationships.
Yes we are learning how to be an influence of more love.
But we are also walking through a new portal of human history.
We are marching forward into an entirely new paradigm.
If you are here, reading these words. Know that this world NEEDS you right now. It needs you to find your balance, to find your center, and to create a dwelling of safety and security in your own body.
So instead of looking onward into Libra Season as a time to find your winter cuddle buddy (or summer fling)…. I instead encourage you to look to this season as a time to get right with yourself, and get right with the people who you are walking into the next paradigm with.
No more half-assed relationships. No more companions holding space so you don’t have to be alone. No more using and abusing partnerships in order to appease a part of yourself that you are not loving enough.
No more codependency. No more relying on the other to complete yourself. Waiting for someone else to make your life whole.
No more relying on anyone else, but your own two feet and your own two hands, and the systems and structures that YOUR soul has built for you.
Libra season is the entry way into a new human experience. One where we honor the other by honoring the self. One where we create more cohesion and unity by being a whole complete counterpart in the relationships we choose now.
Can you walk your own path? Can you find the people who are walking on their own path, but also heading in the same direction as you? Can those be your people? Can those be your encouragement to carry on?
The days of piggybacking on others magic is over.
The days of living someone else’s purpose is history.
The days of being an other, before we are a self, is long gone.
And can you honor that, as your service, to the collective community of people doing this human thing with you.
This Libra season will be an initiation for you in your relationships. Trust the process, listen to your intuition, and be the change you wish to see in the world.
The scales are tipping in your favor, use the energy wisely.
